I sat in my prayer room one afternoon talking to God, trying my hardest to remember all the names on my prayer list that I should pray for and unfortunately I could not remember all the names. The Holy Spirit spoke audibly in my ear and told me to design a Prayer Request quilt and to create cards to go with it. I was told to design seven pockets as that is the perfect number on the quilt for the topics: Children, Spiritual Growth, Marriage, Mental Health, Healing, Submission to God and one section for answered prayers. Oftentimes we offer up the prayers but we tend to forget that God still answers prayer. Sometimes not in the way we expect Him to but His ways are always the best ways. Romans 8:28. ‘And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.’ I continued listening as my Creator explained the different colors I should use on the quilt. He explained clearly that the colors should be the ones used in the Sanctuary and on the High Priest’s clothing. These are: Red: Christ’s blood – Hebrews 9:11,12, Blue: Obedience – Numbers 15:38,39, Purple: Royalty – Mark 15:17, White: Righteousness, Purity – Revelation 19:8, Gold: Divinity in Heaven – Job 22:25, Silver: Longing Desire- the Hebrew word yearn (kasap) shares a root word with the Hebrew word for silver and Black: Sin-1 John 1:5 which will hold our answered prayer section. I was obedient and created this ‘masterpiece from an inspiration.’
